The automakers installed in Brazil begin to open the doors for startups. This is the case of GM, Ford, Renault, FCA and Mercedes-Benz, who sought to solve problems through partnerships with startups. Local partnerships made so far involve technological solutions in the areas of manufacturing engineering, quality control, autonomous management, human resources, administration and regulation.

Born within the General Motors factory, Autaza has developed a computer vision system that interprets the surface quality of the car (doors, hood, body) using lighting and artificial intelligence. The system can detect small deformations in the car body.

Today Autaza is an independent company and provides services to other companies, says Carlos Sakuramoto, General Motors Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Innovation manager.
